Women's Fiction Author

About the Author
Angela Calfior writes women’s fiction featuring emotionally grounded stories about women navigating messy middles and second chances. Her work is shaped by lived experience: motherhood, life after divorce, the complexity of adult friendships, and the bravery it takes to begin again. Through her fiction, Calfior explores identity, resilience, and the courage it takes to ask ourselves hard questions about who we are and who we’re becoming.
Calfior is an active member of the Women Writing Fiction Association and previously cohosted The Editor Life Podcast with DeVore Editorial, where she discussed the craft and business of editing. A freelance fiction editor for eight years at A. H. Joy Editing, which she established in 2018, she specialized in submission-ready manuscript editing for traditional and independent authors alike.
Whenever she can steal a quiet moment, she writes, reads, and chases small joys—coffee dates, ballroom dancing, movie nights, and travel. After fulfilling a lifelong dream of visiting Ireland in 2022, she now dreams of one day writing full time with a verdant view in County Galway.
Calfior was raised in Prescott, Arizona before moving to Saint Louis, Missouri; received her BA in Communications: Public Relations from Greenville University; and serves as Executive Administrative Assistant at the Humane Society of Missouri.
She's currently in alpha revisions for her latest novel, One Afternoon, and drafting a darkly edged satire centered around an uncouth group of women influencing a young divorcée to be “bad.”
